is creating a harmonious relationship between a collection of art mediums. delicate, abstract and unconventionally woven together, he creates from a place of sensitivity & eternal curiosity.

after recording vocal music for several years, hugh found himself on the west coast of canada. forming a deep connection with nature. he began experimenting with field recording. collecting sounds of natures beauty. working as a guide, as well as a way to observe & slow life down. field recording bloomed into an every day practice… ambient soundscapes took shape organically & since then hugh considers his work to be more like crafting a sound painting or audio collage rather than a formulated song.
